February 2017 — The Brazilian Federation of Banks joined SBN in February 2017. FEBRABAN has shown its commitment to sustainable finance and green products. In October 2016, the Brazilian Federation of Banks (FEBRABAN) and the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS) launched the “Guidelines for Issuing Green Bonds in Brazil”. The document provides recommendations to participants of the Brazilian fixed income securities market on the process of issuing Green Bonds and intends to contribute to the development of this market in the country.
