Dec – 21, 2023 – The Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) welcomes the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) as its newest member.
The National Bank of Tajikistan is the central bank of the Republic of Tajikistan, responsible for regulating the country’s monetary policy and overseeing its financial system. NBT works closely on the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of the Green Economy 2023-2037 contributing to meeting the country’s objectives of the Paris Agreement.
“SBFN welcomes NBT’s membership in the Network and looks forward to assisting NBT in accelerating sustainable and green finance activities and in improving the financial sector’s environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) practices,” expressed Adalyat Abdumanapova, IFC’s ESG Advisory Team Lead for Central Asia and Türkiye, and SBFN Country Coordinator.
As of December 2023, SBFN represents 84 financial regulators and industry associations in 66 countries.
