National Bank of Moldova joins SBFN

Nov 21, 2023 – The Sustainable Banking and Finance Network (SBFN) welcomes the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) as its newest member.

As the central bank of the Republic of Moldova, NBM is committed to fostering green and sustainable finance in the country by developing regulatory and supervisory environment and by guiding the country’s banking sector and other financial institutions on matters related to environmental, including climate, social, and governance risks.

“SBFN welcomes the National Bank of Moldova as its newest member. We appreciate NBM’s commitment to sustainable finance and are ready to support NBM in developing the sustainable finance framework,” shared Boris Janjalia, IFC Corporate Governance Officer and SBFN Regional Coordinator.

NBM’s membership expands SBFN to 83 members in 65 countries.
